Acoustic Enclosure for Power Plant

Acoustic enclosures for power plants are designed to reduce noise levels, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and enhancing worker safety. Typically constructed with high-density materials like steel or aluminium these enclosures feature sound-absorbing panels and barriers to attenuate noise. Key components include acoustic louvres, baffles, and ventilation systems to maintain airflow without compromising noise reduction. Enclosures often employ mass-loaded vinyl (MLV) and glass wool for sound insulation. Vibration isolation mounts minimise structural noise transmission. These systems are critical for housing generators, turbines, and compressors, achieving noise levels as low as 70-75 dB(A) while maintaining equipment performance and operational efficiency. Envirotech Systems designed Acoustic Enclosures are robust and reduce noise according to CPCB Norms, in addition to the standards set as per ISO 14001 requirements for industrial applications. These have controlled environments for temperature, humidity, cleanliness and vibration isolation. In order to prevent noise leakage from door gaps, hinge-type doors, fitted with gaskets are used. The locks are spring-loaded and can be opened from both sides.
